Match letter runs across Latin, Cyrillic and other scripts with an explicit Unicode flag.

The preset uses \p{L}+ with g and u over multilingual text. Without u, the property escape does not carry the intended JavaScript meaning.

L means Unicode letters

The property includes categories across scripts rather than only ASCII A–Z.

A run of letters is not a locale-aware word tokenizer; punctuation and combining behavior still depend on the expression.
